Along Illinois highway 3 by the Mississippi River just west of St. Louis, Missouri, U.S.A. The east side of the river here is hardly inhabited so you will be surprised how vacant the area is. The location of the museum is just south of Woodriver, Illinois but north of Venice, Illinois and is very close to the Mississippi River. Four miles north of this museum and into the river is the first encampment of Lewis and Clark on their way westward.
