I have just come back from a holiday in Canada. I know that doesn't
sound technically correct. Well actually yes I did, sort of. I had
embarked on a fly drive holiday across Canada starting in Vancouver and
driving to Winnipeg. We had three areas in mind across Canada that we
had to visit. The one in the middle was Calgary.'
In Vancouver is
where this holiday started. I wasn't expecting to see this city like
this, i had read a lot about it as well. This city is different to any
other in the world. Surrounded by snow and green trees with little
iceberg tops, this scenery is stunning. You wont be able to get bored
here, we found all kinds of things to do throughout the day and night.
What a way to start our Canada holidays adventure. As a further note i have arranged for Vancouver holidays for the rest of my staff as well.
Then
there is a 450 mile drive to Calgary, we decided to just go for it so
we could spend s good amount of time in there. We drove through
Kamloops on the way, but didn’t have enough time to stop. As soon as we
got to Calgary we hit the bed for some sleep. Lucky for us something
called the Calgary Stampede was going on. This is a huge event that
they hold annually and is often referred to as the Greatest Outdoor
Show in the World. Quite simply this is an event where races and rodeos
take place, there is even a show called the wheels of Death, now you
know it has to be good. This is a holiday that anybody could enjoy.
Then
last but not least, the drive to Winnipeg, a joyful six hundred mile
drive. We had to go to the Millennium Library, one of the most famous
in the world, filled with a huge array of books. We aren't a boring
couple, but we did have to visit the Manitoba museum, there are also
plenty of bars and night clubs to visit as well. But it was a holiday
that we will always remember, one of the best times of my life. Alaska Cruises also do something like the fly drive, only all you have to do is relax.
