Kos is only about 40 kilometres long from east to west and only a short distance across from north to south. It is surrounded by very attractive beaches, and has one mountain, Mount Dikaion, on which a village popular with tourists called Zia is situated. At the eastern end of the island is its main town, also called Kos, and at the other end is the smaller town of Kefalos at which we stayed.
As well as exploring the island itself, including spending a day in the town of Kos, we also enjoyed a day out at sea on a Three Islands Cruise.
