Day 4, Phnom Penh
Today we leave our hotel early via cyclos. We head to the bus station to catch a public bus to Phnom Penh. We take the bus across the border at Bavet and continue by bus to Phnom Penh. Most of the day is spent travelling.
We check into our hotel, the Riverside. After freshening up, we meet the group downstairs to head to the FCC for pre-dinner drinks. After taking full advantage of happy hour (no, not two drinks for the price of one, each drink is 50% off), we head to dinner at Friends Restaurant. This place is awesome. It is a training restaurant for homeless kids, which gives them full training in the hospitality industry. The food is absolutely awesome and we are all totally impressed. The mandarin and mango daiquiries are divine.
En route back to the hotel, most of us do a spot of shopping at the night market, which is only held on weekends. Picked up some gorgeous bags.
