We are headed out of Yellowstone via Cody, WY. We've seen the sights since we had to make this trek for brakes. There is a new spot in the guard rail that has been broken through! Scary and there aren't that many guard rails to begin with. We got a call from Michael's mom saying that his dad went into insulin shock 2 nights ago. If his mom didn't hear him and wake up, he would have probably gone into coma and might have died. And as he talked to his mom, the paramedics were there again because the same thing happened again but not as bad. Please pray for him and the family.
A14 is very scenic esp after the Big Horn River, you climb up a very windy road mountain, you can see most of WY from here. Right at Burgess Jct, I SAW A MOOSE! We saw the people on the side of the road looking at something, I thought it was elk, but no it was 2 MOOSE! I've been waiting since Tetons to see moose. I like how the towns give there populations and elevations.
While traveling 75 mph, I look in the side mirror and see the back hatch wide open! Quickly pull over, don't think we lost anything?!
We have made it to South Dakota & headed to the Black Hills NF to find a camp in Savoy. Get there and they have 2 grounds with only 7 sites each and are filled. Now it's late and we are tired and have decided to camp in the picnic area, shhhh. We get mom's 2 man tent and fill our mattress in it and the 3 of us sleep til first light next to Roughlock Falls.
