Our Clubbing Holiday in Majorca
Despite being a incredibly popular destination, until recently I had never really considered spending my summer holidays in Majorca. My partner and I wanted a cheap getaway and we were booking last minute, so we decided to try somewhere we had never been before.
We flew from London to Palma Majorca airport. Even as we got off the plane, we knew we had made a good choice for our holiday: the sun was out, the air was warm and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. We decided to stay in Magaluf so the taxi ride to the hotel was easy enough. We were booked into the Royal Beach Aparthotel, which was remarkably cheap and opened right out onto the waterfront.
The hotel was surprisingly well equipped for the price. Our room was tidy and spacious and the balcony had a fantastic view of the beach. We had the option of taking all our meals at the hotel but we wanted to get out and experience the nightlife in Magaluf, so we went out to dinner most nights. It was a great place to relax after a night in the town.
Keen to see what the Magaluf clubs had to offer, on our first night we set off into Punta Ballena, the center of the local nightlife. There's a massive selection of clubs and bars, with a real party atmosphere. We grabbed dinner and then headed to Chaplins Bar for drinks and we ended our night in the Boomerang nightclub. Although when we got there the club was relatively quiet, by the end of the night it was packed and we stumbled back to the hotel around 5.
Magaluf is the place to go if you want vivid, in your face excitement. Don't go expecting a relaxed holiday with nice quiet beaches.
