Maui Day 5

Driving the Hana Highway.  Wow!

5 hours to drive about 40 miles.  Incredible waterfalls on almost every corner, and there were LOTS of corners.

Here's the waterfall where I hurt my foot (still totally worth it)...

Getting to it was a bit tricky.  The guidebook warned about the doozy of a first step.  Here's Dawn trying to get back out of the path...

Her right hand is on the drain spout of the road, which is where I'm standing while taking this picture.

About halfway to Hana we chose to drive the road to Nahiku.  It's pretty much a one lane residential road off the Hana Highway that leads to this beautiful little secluded park.  People who live out here live REALLY OUT HERE.  It's REMOTE.

We finally make it Hana and found our little house on Hana Bay (definitely rustic)...

(Note the sweet ride!)

I must admit the view from the back yard was not too shabby...
