Well, hello there!

Hello long lost friends,

Well, long time no update!  I'm sorry my updates have been MIA the last few months.  I think the last one I wrote was in December about our engagement!  Time sure does fly, and wedding planning sure does occupy a lot of your time (at least that's my official excuse!).

So, where do I start?  Since the last time I wrote, we completed a wonderful trip with my parents.  We were so happy they came to visit!  It was wonderful that they were a part of the engagement, and we got to show them this amazing side of the world!  It was very hard to say goodbye to them and to our 40 day holiday!  Luckily, we get to see them again soon for the wedding and we have some amazing trips coming up soon to look forward to.  (Just to make you jealous...Western Australia in April, North Island New Zealand with Anik & JD in July, and Oscar's mom & step-dad are coming to visit in July and we will do a trip to Cairns/Port Douglas with them!). So, just for now, it is now back to reality.

We have been settling back in to Sydney life and enjoying the summer weather.  Oscar had an incredibly long summer break and he went back to school March 1.  Of course we had to end the long break with a bang, so we had one last fun weekend in the Blue Mountains and went canyoning down a 90 ft waterfall!  (see pictures on Facebook)

Oscar is still working at the Hilton part time, and is enjoying being back at school.  He has been loving his new bike, and has been training for a 1/2 marathon coming up in May.  I started doing Hot Yoga last week and I'm obsessed!  I love it!  For those of you that don't know - its yoga in 100 degree heat/humidity!  I've never sweat so much in my life, it's awesome!  I can already feel a difference - more flexible, feeling great, and my pants are even a bit loose! :)  We are getting ready for the wedding!

I also got some exciting news at my work!  First, I found out last week that I get to go to Bangkok in May!  I'm super excited to get to see a little bit of Thailand.  Anyone been and have any recommendations?  Also, the most exciting news is that I got a promotion today!  Basically, I get to do a more challenging and interesting job and I get paid more money :)  So that is always exciting!

Well, that is all I can think of for now (I'm sure I'm missing a ton of things).  I will try to be better and send out updates more often.  Our next big adventure is our trip to Western Australia to Perth and Exmouth to go swimming with the whale sharks.  We will be there for 12 days over Easter break.  I will definitely have an update after that amazing trip.

Until next time... hugs and love from down under,

Piper and Oscar

P.S.  We would love any updates from you!  Miss you all!
