Day 1

Around 5:45pm - our GPS said turn left onto an unpaved road.... Well, after about 1.5 miles and 20 minutes later - we found Finca Luna Neuvo Lodge. After several weeks of research, Michael and I stumbled along  this interesting Costa Rican lodge and fell in love with it due to some blogs that we watched from interns who worked her.

This lodge is a fully sustainable eco lodge that we can't wait to learn more about. We were greeted at the receptionist desk by a Costa Rican named Joe who took us to the bungalow where we would stay for the next three nights.

Joe invited us to dinner (which we learned was served family style at 6pm every day) we joined a large group of residents for an amazing dinner of banana wrapped fish, veggies and rice and wine. There were a large group of people from up state New York on a Yoga Trip... (interesting group of people) and we ended up sitting at a table with another couple from Detroit.

The dinner and our company was great, but after a long day - we decided to hit the hay....can you believe we were asleep by 8:30.... I don't think that has ever happened.

Either way -the first day of our adventure was great. Can't wait to see what Saturday brings.
