Michael's Post - Day 10 (Last Day of Surfing)
Our last day of surfing was amazing! After a rough Saturday where the ocean pretty much destroyed us, it was great to go to a new spot Doug told us about (beach #19) and have our best day of surfing ever.
I caught some great waves. So did Stacy.
I wish we could have surfed all day long but high tide was coming in quickly which meant waves were breaking right at the beach - not good for surfing. In any event, both of us were ecstatic to get some good surfing in on our last day.
After hitting a taco stand on the beach where we got to watch fifty incredible surfers, we went and got some R&R at at place called PGI. Our bodies were pretty tore up from day after day of surfing and it was good to take and hour or two and veg.
For our last dinner in Costa Rica, we ventured out for some pizza. It has been a joke of ours that there are so many pizza places in Costa Rica. We joked about it in San Jose, San Isidro, La Fortuna, the drive from La Fortuna to Playa Grande, and in Tamarindo. They seem to be everywhere.
We heard rave reviews about a wood fire pizza place in Playa Grande and decided that we should try pizza once before we left Costa Rica. This place did not disappoint and I had some of the best pizza I've had in a long time.
