Shanghai Day 4

A major lie in was needed as our feet and legs were so sore from all the walking. We left the hostel at around 2pm and headed for TGI Fridays for some proper food. Unfortunately when we arrived at the place it should have been it was nowhere to be seen. We were so disappointed. We jumped in a cab and ended up at the electrical shopping area. Here we found a Japanese restaurant called The Royal that served steak, chicken and gourmet burgers. We had a feast. It was so nice to not eat Chinese food or McDonalds. We then had a look around the shops to see if there were any items that would have been a good buy. We didn't find any.

We then headed to The Bund where we walked along and enjoyed the bright lights on the skyscrapers. We then took a river boat over to the other side. It cost 2yuan about 20p for both of us. If only transport was this cheap in England. We went to a shopping mall again and both bought some new shoes. :) James was then able to throw his stinky shoes away.

After getting bored of the mall we headed home in a cab. It was a 25 minute ride but only cost about £5. We watched a bit of a film then headed out to get some food down the road. We ate our food back at the hostel watching the remainder of the film and then headed to bed. An eventful Day!
