Leaving the Sea Perch

Viewed: 435

Today we left the Sea Perch.  It’s been cool and rainy all day.  We had an uneventful ride to GoldBeach.  The road went inland and was flanked by pine trees, so you couldn’t see very much.  We were very disappointed with CoosBay.  It was very industrial and has a strange smell caused by the paper mill.  I had never heard of Bandon but it was a standout today.  Very quaint and clean.  There was a couple next to us at the Sea Perch from Costa Mesa.  They have vacationed on the Oregon coast before and recommended Turtle Rock camp ground here in GoldBeach.  The camp ground is on the HunterRiver and is nice but doesn’t hold a candle to Sea Perch!    From our camp site it’s just a short walk to the ocean.  We could see sea otter’s in the surf when we were on the beach.  Until tomorrow, cheers!
