Today we traveled from LincolnCity, on the Oregon coast, and drove to Yachats. This was a short drive down the 101 Coast Hwy. KL found a great park called Sea Perch RV Resort. According to his google search it was a very old run down park, right on the beach for $20. When we got here we discovered the only thing correct about the description was the part about being on the beach. We had to wait to check in for an hour and a half. There was no one in the office because the owner was participating in a tsunami exercise. We were getting in the truck to drive away when he pulled in. We’re so glad we waited. We were unable to get a spot on the beach front so we grabbed a site on the side. He recommended The Luna Sea for dinning. Not much of a place to look at but the food was fabulous! Just before sunset the owner told us one of the beach front sites had just come available because of a family emergency. We were able to get the spot on the beach so we decided to stay an additional night. Getting the truck hooked back up and moved before sundown was tricky but worth it! Unfortunately we don’t have any phone service.
