1st Day out
Up with the sun and gone with the wind! First day of vacation was a major success. Traffic was light, by SoCal standards, and we were able to make good time to Bishop. We stopped at the Schat’s Bakery and bought some goodies. Along with a couple of loaves of bread we purchased something called a “pullaway”. It looks fabulous! I can’t wait for morning so I can dig in! We had lunch at a place called Whiskey Creek. The sign was nice, but we can’t recommend the food. Maybe KL and I should consider new careers as on the road food critics. Because we ate late we had ice cream on a stick for dinner at the camp ground. Robyn and David have created a monster! I can’t get ice cream on a stick off my mind! The campground was nice, full hookups nestled in a pine forest. Being the frontier gentleman he is, Wingnut marked every tree. A good time was had by all!
