I LOVED Barcelona and Gaudís architecture. I loved him since I found him senior year while researching for my Spanish 4AP project...and now that Ive finally got to see a lot of his prominent architecture, I love it even more. We went to Casa Batlló, went inside, took the audiotour, saw the front of La Pedrera house, line too long to get tix and go inside, Sagrada Familia church, and Güell Park. These are only four of his known work, but some of his most famous. Unfortunately he was killed before he could finish Sagrada Familia, but with donations, and ticket sales income, I think I heard it should be done in the next 15 or so years. It looks amazing, but is so unfinished.
We also went to the site of the Olymipcs and checked things out. I bought a CD from a street performer who played the most amazing songs on his guitar. We just laid out with the rest of the public on these steps and listened while he played song after song. I have yet to listen to it, but Im sure its amazing! (Those darned CD players are so out of date!) Either way, I ejoyed my time there immensely, as its a very beautiful place!
