I have absolutely no idea why anyone would go to Jacksonville
if they were vacationing in Florida.
Unless I love football or fishing, there really is not anything else to do
there. It does not compare to better vacation spots in the state like Miami,
and Key West. Living here. I like
out of control crime, dangerous and poorly planned roads, humidity and just a
feeling of something lacking. I know, I lived there for five years before
moving to another place. I am first time visit in this city. I reached that
city by Springhill Suites Jacksonville airport. This airport was very fantastic
and nice. There ware also good travel facilities for tourist include: bus,
train and taxi. I am very happy in these facilities. But I called taxi and
reached to my holiday
inn jacksonville hotel. I stayed for 4 days cheap hotels in jacksonville.
After that I went restaurant and take light lunch. After lunch I came back to budget hotels
and planed for next day trip. First day I went to see the Jacksonville Zoo and
Gardens. I love animals and I always enjoy trips to a zoo. Well, almost always.
The Jacksonville Zoo was very disappointing. The exhibits areas were small and
poorly maintained. Unlike other zoos, the walking areas were poorly landscaped
and unattractive. I have been to the zoos in San Diego,
Chicago, New York
(Central Park), Toronto,
and Detroit, all of which far
exceeded the Jacksonville Zoo. Second day I went to see the Cummer Museum of
Art & Gardens also blends interesting history with the beautiful plants. It
opened to the public in the early 60's but Mrs. Cummer had been gardening there
since the early 1900's. The view of the arches with the ocean behind it is just
beautiful. On the museum side of it there are beautiful paintings and
porcelain. If you like porcelain and Japanese art you will love it! I collect
nap on china and I really loved the museum. Third day I went to see the Riverwalk
which this charming riverside dining and entertainment boardwalk is a popular
riverfront meeting place for locals and visitors alike. I will find 1.2 miles
of restaurants, bars, shops, museums and a marina. Riverwalk is linked to area
hotels, including the Radisson Riverwalk and the Hampton Inn Jacksonville
Central, making it easy for visitors to take a relaxing stroll while enjoying
scenic views of the downtown skyline. Convenient water taxis shuttle people to
the opposite and Jacksonville Landing's additional dining and shopping.
I love this place. It has great people who are always nice
and go out of their way to help anyone in need which great Beaches and loads of
night life fun.
